Experience a private 6-day tour from Marrakech, beginning with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains as we navigate the 2260m Tizi N’Tichka pass. Our first stop is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, renowned for its appearances in films like Gladiator and the Game of Thrones series.
Next, we head to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where we’ll visit Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. We will then travel to the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual rose festival, before concluding our day at the breathtaking Dades Gorges. Here, you’ll spend your first night in a traditional riad or hotel, enjoying a complimentary dinner and breakfast.
On our 6-day tour from Marrakech, we’ll explore the stunning Todra Gorge, a vibrant canyon favored by outdoor lovers. We’ll drive through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, known as the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes and famous for its unique fossils.
While in Erfoud, we can visit a local factory producing furniture crafted from fossils before heading to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert.
Upon arriving at the golden sand dunes, we’ll swap our vehicle for camels and journey into the desert, guided by experienced locals. We’ll pause to enjoy a breathtaking sunset as the sand shifts in color, and you can try sandboarding.
Our overnight stay will be in well-equipped Berber-style tents at Merzouga Desert Camp. The night will feature a traditional Berber dinner under the stars, accompanied by tribal drum music around a desert campfire.
On the third day of our six-day tour from Marrakech, we’ll explore the Merzouga desert. You can choose between camel trekking or a 4×4 ride, and we’ll also visit Khamlia village, known for its traditional Gnawa music.
Next, we’ll continue our 4×4 excursion to the abandoned town of Mefes and its lead mines, a site rich in minerals since the French colonization.
We’ll also visit a welcoming nomad family living near the dunes. Our day will conclude with an overnight stay in a Riad or hotel in the Merzouga area.
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll drive through Rissani and its local souk, the largest market in the region, before heading to Midelt in the Atlas Mountains via Ziz Valley and palm groves.
We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Azrou cedar forest, home to Barbary Apes, and then continue to Fes for an overnight stay at a local hotel.
We’ll also explore Ifrane, known for its stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and cleanliness. This charming town is a ski lover’s paradise, featuring the Mishlifen ski resort, and is often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its remarkable features and location.
We’ll begin our sightseeing tour with a local guide, exploring Morocco’s oldest city through its winding roads and narrow alleys.
Fes, known as a center of learning, is home to the world’s oldest university and has three main areas: Fes el Bali (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981), Fes-Jdid (the oldest part with over 8,500 narrow alleys and the Jewish quarter), and Ville Nouvelle (the modern quarter developed during French colonial rule).
The guided tour includes visits to the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, along with various cooperatives. You’ll enjoy stunning views over the entire Medina of Fes.
After the tour and lunch, we’ll drive to Casablanca for dinner and an overnight stay in Morocco’s largest city, recognized as its economic hub.
Today, we explore Casablanca’s key attractions, including the Hassan II Mosque, before heading to Marrakech, where our 6-day tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
