The 4-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech begins with a tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital. We’ll visit the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, a significant Islamic monument, and take a brief walk along the corniche, exploring other sites as time allows.
Next, we head to Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital, where we’ll see the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower.
In the late afternoon, we’ll continue to Fes, with a possible stop in Meknes to view Bab Mansour, a 17th-century gateway known as the “Moroccan Versailles,” before arriving in Fes and checking into the hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up and head towards Ifrane, known as the Moroccan “Swiss-style” town. We’ll continue to Azrou, stopping at the cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can see Barbary apes. After lunch in Midelt, we’ll drive to Merzouga, with a stop to admire the panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Upon arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon, you’ll begin a camel trek to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes.
You’ll spend the night at our desert camp, enjoying dinner, music, and songs performed by the Berber people. The camp is fully equipped for a comfortable stay.
Continuing our 4-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, start the day early by watching the sunrise, followed by breakfast and a shower at the camp. Then, we’ll head to Tinghir and explore the stunning Todra Gorges, Morocco’s tallest and narrowest.
After lunch, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Dades Gorge, known for its impressive castles and unique rock formations. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.
After breakfast, we drive through the Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate, along the famous “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” offering many photo opportunities.
We’ll pause in Kalaat Mgouna, known as the “Pink City” for its roses, before arriving in Ouarzazate to explore the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios. Then, we continue to Marrakech via the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.
This fortified kasbah, built in the 18th century by El Glaoui, one of the last Berber leaders, marks a scenic stop before crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. We arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and end our 4-day desert tour from Casablanca.
