Day 1Marrakesh » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Dades Valley [315 Km]
We’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin a 4-day Marrakech Desert Tour to Merzouga, starting with a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains to Dades Gorges. You’ll pass through the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and admire the mountain villages along the way.
Next, we head to Ouarzazate to visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the famous film studios. After lunch, drive through the Dades Valley along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing Skoura and Kelaat M’Gouna, known for its roses. Once you reach Boumalne Dades, enjoy dinner and rest for the night.

Depart in the morning to experience the changing landscapes on the way to the Merzouga dunes. Pass through the Tinghir Oasis and Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise up to 320m, carved by the river. After a relaxing stroll through the gorges and palm groves, enjoy lunch and head to Tinjdad and Erfoud.
Continue to the Merzouga desert for a camel ride through the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Pause to watch a breathtaking sunset over the golden dunes, reaching heights of 150m.
End the day with a magical night in nomadic tents, enjoying dinner, music, and stargazing—a highlight of your Marrakech desert tour.
Wake up early to catch the stunning sunrise. After freshening up, have breakfast at the camp and continue the 4-day Marrakech desert tour to Merzouga. Head to the Palm Grove of Tafilalet and visit Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite Dynasty.

In the morning, we’ll depart from Ouarzazate to explore Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most stunning kasbahs.
This location has featured in numerous films, including “The Mummy,” “Gladiator,” and “Babel.” Afterward, we’ll journey toward the majestic Atlas Mountains, crossing Tizi N’Tichka, Morocco’s highest road pass at 2,260 meters, which offers breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and nearby Berber villages.
We’ll arrive in the evening.

Yes, it’s a shared tour. You will travel with a small group from around the world.
What should I pack for the tour?

Yes, they are. Your hotel room will have private ensuite bathrooms.
How long id the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?
It is roughly 1 hour for sunset and another hour for sunrise the following day. Time depends on season, Day light saving time, and sunset/sunrise time.
What if we want to skip the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?
You can. a 4×4 will be offered to transfer you from Merzouga lodge to Erg Chebbi desert camp for an extra fee of 30 Euros ( Included in luxury tent option )
Is sand boarding is included?
There will be a few sand boards available at the camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure ( Availability not guaranteed ). You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free of charge
