Day 1Marrakech » Atlas Mountains » Merzouga Sahara Desert [561 km]

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes at 8:00 AM to begin your adventure. Our first stop will be Ifrane, a charming winter ski resort built by the French in a Swiss style. Next, we’ll visit the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can feed the monkeys and enjoy the beautiful scenery. As we cross the Atlas Mountains, we’ll pass through traditional Berber villages, springs, rocky landscapes, and forests. We’ll stop for lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossils and rocks, before continuing our journey toward Merzouga. Along the way, we’ll pause for panoramic views of the vast palm tree oasis. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you can relax with a refreshing mint tea before embarking on a camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, leading to the desert camp. You’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber tent, enjoying dinner, a campfire, and live traditional music under the stars.

Day 2Merzouga » Erfoud » Ziz Valley » Azrou Cedar forest » Fes [460 km]

We will wake up early to witness one of the most breathtaking sights: the sunrise over the dunes. After savoring this magical moment and enjoying a traditional breakfast at the camp, we’ll ride camels back to our starting point, where we’ll switch to our vehicle and continue the journey to Fes. Our route will take us through Erfoud, known for its fossils and marble stone sculptures.

Along the way, we’ll pass through the Ziz Valley with its lush palm groves, Errachidia, and Midelt, stopping in the cedar forest to meet the famous wild monkeys.
