Experience a fantastic day trip from Merzouga to the serene, hidden oasis of Safsaf. During your journey, you’ll visit nomadic families, enjoy lunch, and have the opportunity to swim in the oasis, all while exploring fascinating sites along the way.
We will set off in the morning at approximately 10:00 am from our guesthouse located near Erg Chebbi, heading towards the SafSaf Oasis, which is close to the Algerian border (about 1 km away).
During our journey, we’ll make as many stops as you desire to take in the stunning scenery. One of the stops will be a visit to a nomadic family, where we will enjoy a traditional welcome tea under the soothing shade of a Berber tent.
Our day trip from Merzouga to the SafSaf Oasis will continue until we arrive at our destination. The SafSaf Oasis is a breathtaking site, nestled between remote high hills, featuring a wild palm grove with lush vegetation and traversed by a river of the same name (SafSaf), where you can take a refreshing bath. We’ll have lunch in this idyllic setting.
Before sunrise, we’ll depart from SafSaf to follow a trail leading to the Tissardmine Oasis, known for its striking contrasts of water, vegetation, rock, and sand. We’ll pause to admire the views and capture photos before continuing on to your accommodation, where we’ll say our farewells and conclude this wonderful excursion and our services.
