Your Marrakech desert tour begins in the morning towards the Merzouga desert. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing through some Kasbahs, the Atlas Berber villages, as we continue driving on the Mountains. After a few hours of touring the Atlas Mountains, we will reach Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which is a popular World Heritage site. You will enjoy a well-served lunch near the Kasbah before we continue driving towards Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa). At Ouarzazate, the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas studios where several movies were shot such as Game of Thrones and much more. We will then drive towards Skoura, and Roses Valley. At the end of the day, we will go to spend our night at Dades valley.
Dinner and overnight
Our three days Moroccan Desert trip to Merzouga goes on after enjoying a traditional Breakfast. We will then take a drive through roads lined with ancient kasbahs and many attractive Berber villages at the Dades. We will then head over to Tineghir; A 15 Km breath-taking valley full of date palms. Experience the high walls of grey and pink rock around the road, as we continue trekking along the 300m high canyons.
We will then head to the Erg Chebbi dunes located in Merzouga, Sahara Desert, and you’ll enjoy your lunch in Tinjdad. As soon as you arrive at the popular dunes of Erg Chebbi, we will let you enjoy a one-hour camel ride, as you watch the sunset in style heading to the oasis where a camp is located. Nothing is more interesting than spending your night at Merzouga Sahara dunes in the bivouac under traditional nomadic tents or outdoors under the shooting stars. You can also spend your night playing the drums with the experienced camel guide if you like.
On the last day of our tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, We will pick you up in the morning and take you to a nearby place where you can watch the fantastic sunrise on the dunes. After taking a breakfast and hotel shower, we will take a camel ride to the main road. At the main road, you’ll meet your driver waiting with a comfortable Minibus to drive you back to Ouarzazate through the town of Rissani home of the Alaouite dynasty, and the oasis of Tazarine. After your time of leisure and lunch, we will continue with our journey back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. We will arrive back to Marrakech in the evening.

Marrakech to Merzouga distance is 560 Km. However, it will be split in two on the in with a night in Dades Valley. On the way back, you will spend the day driving to Marrakech.

It is roughly 1 hour for sunset and another hour for sunrise the following day. Time depends on season, Day light saving time, and sunset/sunrise time.
You can. a 4×4 will be offered to transfer you from Merzouga lodge to Erg Chebbi desert camp for an extra fee of 30 Euros ( Included in luxury tent option )
There will be a few sand boards available at the camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure ( Availability not guaranteed ). You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free of charge
