Our Fes to Marrakech tour via Merzouga desert is a 3-day journey, where you will experience camel trekking in the Sahara Desert and spend a night in a Berber tent. On the second day, you will travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and visit Todra Gorge before reaching Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay. On the third day, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios in Ouarzazate before continuing to Ait Ben Haddou to have lunch and explore the famous Kasbah. Finally, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains, and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass before reaching Marrakech in the afternoon. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Fez at 8:00 am to start your journey. The first stop will be Ifran, a winter ski resort built by the French in a Swiss style. Then, we will head to the cedars forest in Azrou to feed the monkeys and enjoy the beautiful nature. Crossing the Atlas Mountains, we will pass through Berber villages, springs, jagged rock faces, and forests. We will stop for lunch in Midelt, known for its fossils and rocks, before continuing toward Merzouga. On the way, we will make panoramic stops to see the vast Palm Trees oasis. Upon arrival in the afternoon, we will rest and have a mint tea before heading out on a camel ride to cross the sandy dunes of the erg-Chebbi to reach the desert camp. The night will be spent in a Berber tent with dinner, a campfire, and traditional music.
After breakfast, we will depart from Merzouga towards Ouarzazate, traveling along the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. We will pass through Rissani, a town famous for its traditional souks and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. Our lunch stop will be at Todra Gorge, where we can enjoy a walk and take in the beautiful scenery. We will then travel through the Dadès Valley past dramatic escarpments to reach Ouarzazate in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios movie studios in Ouarzazate, the largest and most famous in Africa. Next, we will head to the Fint Oasis, near Ouarzazate, before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou to have lunch and visit the famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the backdrop for movies such as The Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.
