The journey starts with a drive to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2,260 meters). Visit the historic kasbah and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we continue to Ouarzazate for a photo stop near the Atlas Film Studios, followed by a visit to the Taourirt Kasbah. Then, head to Kalaa M’gouna and Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
Depart in the morning to experience the changing landscapes on the way to the Merzouga dunes. Pass through the Tinghir Oasis and Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise up to 320m, carved by the river. After a relaxing stroll through the gorges and palm groves, enjoy lunch and head to Tinjdad and Erfoud.

On the third day of our 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes, you’ll wake up early to experience a breathtaking sunrise in the heart of the Sahara desert, atop a dune near the camp. It’s a view worth the early start, offering a truly unique experience.
Afterwards, enjoy a hearty breakfast and freshen up before riding camels back to Merzouga. We will explore the vast Erg Chebbi dunes and its small surrounding villages, including the Big Dune of Morocco. The journey continues along a former “Paris-Dakar” route, ending in the black desert.
Next, we’ll stop at a viewpoint to admire the entire Erg Chebbi. Our journey then takes us to Kamilia Village, home to people of Malian descent, where you can enjoy tea while listening to traditional Gnawa music.
We’ll also visit Mefis, an abandoned village with old French-era mines, before meeting a nomadic family and learning about their way of life. Later, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation, where you can enjoy some free time exploring the town or nearby dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we begin the final day of our 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes, heading north through the vast Tafilalet palm grove.
You’ll pass thousands of palm trees along a 20 km stretch, reaching the Ziz Valley, the water source for this oasis. We’ll pause here to take in the stunning views of the valley and the town of Aoufous.
Next, we stop in Midelt, nestled in the Atlas Mountains, where you’ll have time for lunch and a short break. In the afternoon, we continue through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, hoping to spot some Barbary Apes.
We then visit Ifrane, a city at 1630 meters in the Middle Atlas, known for its clean streets, green spaces, and European-style architecture, earning it the nickname “Moroccan Switzerland.” It even boasts a ski resort, Michlifen. By around 6 pm, we arrive in Fes, transfer you to your accommodation, and conclude our tour.
