The 2 Nights Camel Trekking in the Merzouga desert starts in the late afternoon. We arrange the camel ride for the two-night desert adventure from a hotel near the sand dunes. During this journey, you’ll explore two types of desert landscapes: the sand dunes and the black desert near the border between Morocco and Algeria.
The trek will take you to the highest sand dunes at the heart of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Merzouga desert, offering a great opportunity to capture beautiful photos of the sunset and sunrise from these elevated dunes.
Upon reaching the camp, we will leave the camels behind, take sandboards, and climb the tallest dunes to enjoy the sunset and sandboarding. At the camp, a delightful dinner will be served, accompanied by Berber drum music around a fire in the middle of the Sahara desert. It will be a magical night, with the clear sky revealing a dazzling display of stars. You’ll spend the night in a private nomad tent.

In the early morning, you can wake up to watch the sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, we’ll ride camels to visit an oasis in the Sahara, where we’ll have lunch. After some relaxation, we’ll ride the camels back to the camp and then walk to the highest dunes in Merzouga. We’ll return to the camp after watching the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in traditional nomadic tents

In the morning, after a refreshing shower and a hearty breakfast at the desert camp, we will ride the camels back to Merzouga. You can choose whether you’d like to return from the camp on camels again or opt for a 4×4 vehicle instead.
Upon arriving back at our starting point, after two unforgettable nights of camel trekking in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi Dunes, you’ll carry with you many memories, photos, and the incredible feelings from this unique experience.

Yes, it’s a shared tour. You will travel with a small group from around the world.
What should I pack for the tour?
Comfortable clothing and footwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera are recommended.
Are bathrooms private in the second night hotel?
Yes, they are. Your hotel room will have private ensuite bathrooms.
How long id the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?
It is roughly 1 hour for sunset and another hour for sunrise the following day. Time depends on season, Day light saving time, and sunset/sunrise time.
What if we want to skip the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?
You can. a 4×4 will be offered to transfer you from Merzouga lodge to Erg Chebbi desert camp for an extra fee of 30 Euros ( Included in luxury tent option )
Is sand boarding is included?
There will be a few sand boards available at the camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure ( Availability not guaranteed ). You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free of charge
