Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel in Fes at 8:30 AM for a 2-day desert tour to Merzouga, passing through Azrou, cedar forests, and Ziz Gorges.
Enjoy the scenic drive with a lunch stop at a Berber café. Upon reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes, ride a camel with a guide and spend the night in the heart of the dunes.
Day 2Merzouga Sahara Desert » Ziz Valley » Fes [469 km]
An early morning wake-up is recommended to assist sunrise from the top of the Chebbi sand dunes. Before you camel trek back to the departure point where you will meet your driver, you will take a shower and enjoy a Berber and delicious breakfast served by friendly Berber people at the Merzouga desert camp.
After breakfast and shower in the camp, you will leave to Fes via the High Atlas mountains. On the way, we’ll pass through Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia, and Midelt. A Date with a stop for lunch and pictures of wild monkeys on the Cedar forests of Azrou before arriving in Fes, where we’ll leave you at your riad or Hotel.

What should I pack for the tour?

How long id the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?
It is roughly 1 hour for sunset and another hour for sunrise the following day. Time depends on season, Day light saving time, and sunset/sunrise time.
What if we want to skip the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?
You can. a 4×4 will be offered to transfer you from Merzouga lodge to Erg Chebbi desert camp for an extra fee of 30 Euros ( Included in luxury tent option )
Is sand boarding is included?
There will be a few sand boards available at the camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure ( Availability not guaranteed ). You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free of charge
