15 DAYS CASABLANCA TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1Arrival to Casablanca - Welcome to Morocco!

Upon arriving in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital, you will be greeted by your private driver and taken to your hotel for check-in and some relaxation.

If time allows, you may opt for a tour of the stunning Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest. Dinner will be provided at the hotel.

Day 2Casablanca » Rabat » Chefchaouen [338 Km]

After breakfast, your 15-day tour in Morocco begins. You’ll head to Chefchaouen, the renowned blue city in the Rif Mountains.

En route, stop in Rabat, the capital, for lunch and to explore this beautiful coastal city.

Following lunch, you’ll proceed to Chefchaouen for the night, with dinner at the hotel.

Day 3Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes [252 km]

After breakfast, you will head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, exploring the 2,000-year-old site and its history.

Lunch will be in Meknes, one of Morocco’s Imperial cities. Following lunch, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes before departing for Fes, the cultural capital of Morocco. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 4 Fes Sightseeing tour with a local guide

After breakfast, start your guided tour of the medina, one of the largest walled cities in the world. Wander through narrow streets filled with fresh fruits, spices, Berber carpets, and other Moroccan crafts.

You’ll visit the Royal Palace, tanneries, and potters, among other sights. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant in the medina before finishing the tour and returning to your hotel for the evening. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Day 5 Fes » Ifrane » Cedar Forest » Ziz Valley » Merzouga [415 km]

After an early breakfast, you’ll start your journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The day will be spent navigating beautiful forests, rugged cliffs, and Berber villages as you make your way across the mountains and descend toward the Sahara Desert.

You’ll pause for lunch in Midelt, known for its fossils and stones. Upon arriving at the Kasbah in Merzouga, enjoy a refreshing shower or a swim (weather permitting) after the drive, followed by dinner at the Kasbah.

Day 6Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Sahara) [54 km]

Most of the day will be spent relaxing at the hotel or exploring the small but interesting desert towns.

In the afternoon, you will head off in some 4-wheel drive vehicles across the barren land to the majestic Sahara sand dunes.

You will set off by camel for a 1/2-hour trek out onto the dunes to watch the sunset. You will spend the night in Berber tents (Dinner is included).

 

Day 7Erg Chebbi » Erfoud » Todra Gorges » Dades Valley [269 km]

After breakfast, you’ll ride back by camel to the 4x4s and journey to Erfoud. From there, you’ll head towards the Todra Gorges, located behind the High Atlas Mountains.

In the afternoon, enjoy a walk in the stunning Todra Gorges, which rise 600 feet. The scenic river valleys provide a beautiful path southeast in Morocco.

You’ll spend the night in Dades before crossing the High Atlas Mountains, with dinner served at the Kasbah.

Day 8Dades Valley » Rose Valley » Skoura » Ouarzazate [132 km]

After a hearty breakfast, head towards Ouarzazate via the 1000 Kasbahs route. You can explore the ancient Kasbahs in the palm groves if you wish.

A trip to the Dades Gorges is also worthwhile to witness this natural wonder. Once you arrive in Ouarzazate, visit this southern town, renowned for its film productions. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 9Ouarzazate » Taliouine » Taroudante [274 km]

Morning departure to Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco. Continue to Taroudant, a former regional capital and the first city of the Saadian dynasty, where the Souss valley meets the High Atlas mountains. Known as the ‘little Marrakech,’ it provides a great glimpse into southern Morocco.

Taroudant boasts a charming atmosphere with ochre walls and the warm hospitality of the Berbers in a temperate climate year-round. Explore the picturesque souks famous for leather, iron, wood, ceramics, and Berber jewelry. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 10Taroudante » Agadir » Essaouira [303 km]

After breakfast, we head to Agadir, known for its stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and its expansive sandy beach.

Following lunch in Agadir, we travel north to Essaouira, where the rich history of Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French influences is reflected in the well-preserved architecture, charming narrow streets, and picturesque fishing harbor, reminiscent of 16th-century Portuguese settlers.

Day 11 Essaouira » Marrakech [191 km]

After breakfast, we depart for Marrakech along the scenic inland road through the unique Argan tree forest. We’ll stop to take photos of goats climbing the trees to harvest Argan fruits.

Next, we’ll visit a cooperative run by local women, where you can learn about the argan oil production process, chat with the women, and purchase homemade soap or ‘Amlou,’ a traditional Moroccan jam. We then continue to Marrakech for an overnight stay at the hotel or riad.

Day 12Marrakech ( Visit The City with a local guide )

Today, embark on a sightseeing tour of Marrakesh, known as the “Pearl of the South.” Explore the city’s rich history and cultural heritage by visiting the Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens.

Wander through the vibrant souks and the famous Djemaa El Fna square, where you’ll find storytellers, snake charmers, and street food vendors. Optionally, enjoy a Fantasia dinner at a local restaurant, featuring horse shows, folkloric performances, and belly dancers. Overnight stay included.

Day 13Marrakech

Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring the medina. Optional half-day trip to the Ourika Valley south of Marrakech to experience authentic Berber culture.

Day 14Marrakech » Casablanca [241 km]

Following a leisurely morning, you’ll return to Casablanca for your final day of travel. If you’d like more time in Marrakech, you can leave in the early afternoon. Dinner will be at the hotel.

You will be taken to the airport based on your flight schedule

Is this a private tour or with a group?

Yes, it’s a shared tour. You will travel with a small group from around the world.

What should I pack for the tour?

Comfortable clothing and footwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera are recommended.

Are bathrooms private in the second night hotel?

Yes, they are. Your hotel room will have private ensuite bathrooms.

How long id the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?

It is roughly 1 hour for sunset and another hour for sunrise the following day. Time depends on season, Day light saving time, and sunset/sunrise time.

What if we want to skip the camel ride in Erg Chebbi?

You can. a 4×4 will be offered to transfer you from Merzouga lodge to Erg Chebbi desert camp for an extra fee of 30 Euros ( Included in luxury tent option )

Is sand boarding is included?

There will be a few sand boards available at the camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure ( Availability not guaranteed ). You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free of charge
